What it is
Snipshot is a fast screenshot studio for Windows. Capture a screen, region or window, frame it in a mockup, annotate it and export share-ready PNG, JPEG or WebP images, all processed on your machine.

Result
Snipshot gives Windows users a streamlined way to capture and polish screenshots. Captures are processed locally and are never uploaded by the app.
The problem
Turning a screenshot into something worth sharing usually means a capture tool, an image editor and a mockup site. I wanted one fast app that handles capture, framing, annotation and export locally.
What it does
- Capture: fullscreen, region and window modes with multi-monitor overlays, plus import by file, clipboard paste or drag and drop
- Tray and hotkeys: stays in the system tray with configurable global hotkeys for instant capture
- Mockups and framing: Default, Glass, Inset, Border, Retro and Stack styles, with padding, corner radius, shadows and a directional light pad
- Backgrounds: transparent, solid, gradient or catalog images, plus palette-matched looks pulled from the screenshot itself
- Sizes: custom ratios and presets for Instagram, X, YouTube, Pinterest, Dribbble and the App Store
- Annotation: rectangle, ellipse, arrow, line, text and spotlight tools with full styling and undo and redo history
- Export: PNG, JPEG or WebP at 1x, 2x or 3x scale, quick-save to a folder and copy to clipboard, with optional auto-copy on capture
How it's built
- A Tauri desktop app with a React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS interface
- Signed automatic updates from GitHub Releases, shipped as an NSIS installer
- A responsive Next.js landing page with features and downloads
