I built Banowi AI Commerce Agent to act as a smart sales employee for Shopify stores in Pakistan, working directly through WhatsApp. It's not just a chatbot, it reasons with real data from Shopify and a knowledge base to answer customer questions accurately and quickly.
Challenge
Shopify merchants needed a way to handle WhatsApp sales chats that reflect live inventory, pricing, and order status without manual updates or errors.
What I shipped
- A real-time sync system that mirrors Shopify store data into a database using webhooks, ensuring up-to-date product and order info.
- An AI agent that processes WhatsApp messages, reasons over multiple data sources, and responds with precise answers or escalates to humans.
- A dashboard for merchants to monitor conversations, manage orders, review payments, and track AI decisions.
